Christian-Peter Hiemstra is one of the leading emerging pianists of his generation.

Laureate of numerous leading competitions, including the Kronberg International Piano Competition, Neuchâtel International Piano Competition, Rotary Young
Musician Competition, and South African National Youth Music Competition, his versatility as an artist is also recognised as holder of the May Edwards Award and the Italian Rospigliosi International Chamber Music Primo Premio Assoluto and Audience Choice Awards for musicians under 35 years.
Admitted to the London Royal College of Music at the age of 9 years, he studied under renowned composer and pianist, Prach Boondiskulchok. Now 15, he is furthering his studies under Benedek Horváth at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel, Switzerland, having already worked with many of the leading pianists of our time, including Konstantin Scherbakov, Ronan O’Hora and Steven Kovacevich. He has performed extensively across the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Lithuania, Italy and South Africa, making his orchestral debut with Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor with the Britten Sinfonia at the age of 12.
Hiemstra’s playing has been praised by musicians and critics alike, lauded for its “wondrous sound” (Kronberger Zeitung), “personality and daring quality” (Alim
Beisembayev), and “moving finesse and passion” (Mengyang Pan). Noted for his unique sound and remarkable artistry, Christian-Peter continues to captivate
audiences around the world.
