Institute for Healing of Memories (IHOM) Fundraising Art Auction & Dinner

Please join us for this powerful cause - the art of giving - an unforgettable evening of art, purpose, impact and community.

The auction will showcase exceptional works generously donated by leading corporates, including pieces donated by the MTN Foundation. These include Commemorating Sophiatown portfolio featuring works by internationally acclaimed Nelson Makamo, Karen Bareuther, Philemon Hlungwani, Ramarutha Malapane, Bongani Makoba, Abe Mathabe, Bongile Mkhize, Flora More, Simon Mthimkulu; as well as the 30 Years in Soweto: From Resistance to Leadership portfolio of handmade prints, featuring works by acclaimed South African artists, including Bongi Bengu, Bongi Mkhize, Flora Mmaphoko More, Vincent Baloyi, Muzi Donga, Charles Nkosi and Mmakgabo Helen Sebidi.

Additional works include art pieces by Lena Hugo – a South African artist celebrated for her detailed and realist portraits alongside a headline piece from acclaimed artist GreatJoy.

All proceeds from the auction will support IHOM’s trauma healing programmes, from Healing of Memories Workshops and Psychosocial Counselling to Community Dialogues, Youth Projects, and Knowledge Hubs.
