Are you ready to push your limits and take on one of Durban’s wildest, toughest and most rewarding trails?

This is Giba Gorge at its absolute best – a full-force adventure packed with views, climbs, history and pure adrenaline.

EXPECT UP TO 7 WATERFALLS, THE CLIFTON FIRE LOOKOUT TOWER, CLIFTON CANYON, HIDDEN SHELTERS, AND SERIOUS CLIMBS.

TIME: 5:45AM FOR 6:00AM

MEETING POINT: GIBA GORGE NATURE RESERVE (WINSTON PARK / ST HELIER)

HIKE DETAILS:

18KM of action — waterfalls (depending on access), Giba Ruins, Clifton Lookout Tower, Gibaland, hidden rock shelter, Skeleton Trail, Cascades, NU Driving Range, Clifton Canyon and Giba Gorge NR.

COST: R349pp (includes private guiding, adventure-packed route, and professional photos/videos)

GRADING:

REGULAR HIKER: GRADE 3

CASUAL HIKER: GRADE 4

NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Water / cold drinks

• Trail snacks

• Backpack

• Optional: Raincoat (a little rain adds to the fun!)

Important Notes:

• Not suitable for beginners or casual hikers.
• This will be a fast-paced hike with long distances to cover.
• If you sign up but can’t complete, you may need to turn back alone (not ideal!).
• No credits or refunds for no-shows.
• The hike will go ahead rain or shine, and only be cancelled under extreme conditions.

Pack plenty of water and snacks – you’ll need it for this full-day challenge.
