Dumbanengue: New Years Eve Celebration [Durban]

Dumbanengue is a Geneva-based cultural association dedicated to producing, promoting, and sharing South African electronic music. Founded in 2023, it builds artistic bridges between Geneva and the scenes of Durban and Johannesburg by organising events, club nights, artistic residencies, radio shows, podcasts, and collaborative music projects. Its mission is to amplify the visibility of Black and queer artists, support collective creation, and foster equitable cultural exchange between Switzerland and Southern Africa

Dumbanengue brings its celebration of South African electronic music to Durban for a special New Year’s Eve gathering at Hue Café.

The night unites Geneva and Durban through Gqom and community, featuring a lineup of young, black, and gifted DJs and MCs. Expect the unexpected: an intense celebration running from 22:00 till late.
