Georgetown Live @ Port Alfred

On the 2nd of January Georgetown will be breaking some New years resolutions at the beloved town of Port Alfred, for one unforgettable night at Guido’s — the iconic beachside hangout where good music, cold drinks and ocean views meet in perfect harmony.

Georgetown returns with their signature blend of multi-instrumental folk, tight harmonies and foot-stomping energy. The boys will arrive armed with acoustic guitar, accordion, upright bass, mandolin, harmonica, piano and their beloved vintage suitcase kick-drum — the heartbeat that’s travelled with them through more than 700 shows across SA and abroad.

For this coastal celebration, Georgetown will be joined by the unstoppable Riaan van Rensburg on drums and the ever-smooth Janus van der Merwe on tenor and baritone sax.

And kicking the night off in true local style is Port Alfred’s very own Driftwood, bringing their laid-back, soulful coastal sound to set the perfect tone before Georgetown takes the stage.
