Cape Town, dust off your tinsel and warm up your vocal cords — ImproGuise, the city’s most beloved and longest-running improv troupe, returns to The Galloway Theatre with a holly-jolly twist on their cult hit: THE VERY MERRY TRIBUTE SHOW!

In this festive edition, you — the audience — become Santa’s little creative elves, conjuring the name of a completely fictional holiday-themed band or artist. From there, the performers unwrap a gloriously chaotic, unscripted “behind-the-mistletoe” musical mockumentary. Expect everything from seasonal scandals and yuletide meltdowns to peppermint-fuelled reunions — all entirely improvised.

Then comes the second act: a full-blown, made-up-on-the-spot festive tribute concert, featuring original songs based on your audience-suggested, holiday-inspired titles. Think sleigh-bell rock anthems, angelic ballads, and gingerbread-fuelled power numbers — a sparkling, side-splitting storm of musical mischief.

No script. No safety net. Just pure, unscripted Christmas magic.
