Featuring live music from Sky Dladla, poetry from Iman Zanele Omar, an Ecocritical roundtable discussion, and collective collage making with Make Muck Zine! Plus, snacks and chats, and a chance to engage with and contribute to the Art Club / Book Club programme!

What is Art Club/Book Club?

Art Club/Book Club is a fresh take on the traditional book club. This is a space to gather changemakers and artists to unpack climate justice through many lenses: social, political, environmental, emotional, spiritual, personal, and collective.

This launch marks the start of a seven session journey, with future sessions featuring guest artists, activists, and collaborative learning along the way. Each session is shaped by the group, with shared readings, art projects and media to explore along the way.

If you’re looking to build meaningful connections, deepen your climate knowledge, and grow your creative practice, this is for you.

About the Organiser

Climate Lounge is an arts and storytelling collective in service of social and climate movements. We use art, storytelling and the facilitation of spaces to problem solve for climate and social issues across difference, to contribute to narrative shifts, and help to build wellness from within movements.
