Its Johannesburg’s turn to taste, swirl and celebrate the most exciting, fastest growing spirit category in the world! South Africa’s pioneering Gin & Tonic Festival, featuring prolific local gin distilleries and a selection of international stalwarts, is taking place at the Neighbourgoods Market in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, on Sunday the 26th of November.
With over 20 distillers showcasing their craft, the line-up will include industry favourites as well as exciting new entrants to the ever-bubbling gin scene, making this the benchmark Gin and Tonic festival for the country’s gin lovers.
Each participating gin vendor will host a stall on the day, offering tasters for the inclined spirit connoisseurs, as well as a menu of signature cocktails. These will be available as single or double serves, expertly crafted by the ginsmiths and mixologists behind the bars and complimented with a sprig of botanical flare and flavour.
In addition to the opportunity to sip your way through some of South Africa’s (and the world’s) best and most innovative producers; a G&T glass, comprehensive gin booklet as well as a welcome drink, are all included in the ticket. It’s a gin-lovers wonderland to explore and a great way to meet your new favourite gin!
Patrons will also be spoilt for choice with artisanal tonics and mixers, as well as a selection of Neighbourgoods Market's regular and most delicious food vendors, to complement your tipple and keep hunger at bay. We will also be joined by local makers and merchants, should you like to sip and shop the lovely things on offer.
If we don’t have your attention yet - an excellent list of local musicians and dj’s will perform on stage throughout the day, adding a memorable soundtrack to your day and bringing the celebratory atmosphere of the occasion together.
As a proudly South African event, we humbly support the remarkable local talent from the region and look forward to showcasing their wares. Early Bird tickets will go on sale on Monday the 18th of September, after which general admission will become available. We do expect this event to sell out, so lock in your gin fling by securing your ticket soonest.
