The Young Artists Collective (YAC) is committed to progressing avenues of sustainable income for artists in South Africa. We are formalizing our mission by providing our resident artists with professional digital documentation of their work, an online sales platform, and curated pop-up opportunities. Your contribution to the Founders’ Fund directly finances the launch of our digital platform and the infrastructure required to host professional art activations across the greater Cape Town region. The YAC aims to create opportunities for financial independence and community engagement. While we are currently in the process of registering as a voluntary association (VA), for the peace of mind of our community we will be pursuing NPO and PBO levels of compliance and transparency. For now, we believe in making it exist first and then making it perfect later.

Transparency as a core value

The YAC believes in absolute transparency. We are currently utilizing a temporary secure payment gateway via Quicket while our official VA bank account is being finalized.

• Accountability: All funds are tracked and will be audited as part of our first annual report.
• Tax Status: Please note that we are not yet a registered PBO; therefore, we cannot issue Section 18A tax-deductible certificates at this exact moment. We expect to offer this at a later date.

Where your donation goes

Your support today directly funds our two most pressing projects:

• The Digital Platform: the development of a bespoke website designed to host professional art sales, artist portfolios, and virtual galleries. This will be the permanent home for our digital residents' work.
• The Official Launch Event (February 2025): Funding the production, marketing, and curation of our debut physical exhibition. This event will serve as a high-profile introduction of our online platform to the public!
