Carlo Mombelli is an internationally acclaimed bassist, composer, and educator celebrated for his innovative approach to music-making. With a career spanning four decades, Mombelli has released numerous albums, collaborated with world-renowned musicians, and received accolades for his contributions to contemporary music. He is currently an NRF-rated Associate Professor and Head of Music at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
