Care Connect - Self Regulation and Sharing

Care Connect is a support / interest group developed in the interest of our (a team of Occupational Therapists) clients who have suffered from serious life altering events which has led to them requiring caregiver assistances from daily functioning. We have quietly observed and understood the sacrifices and strain taken upon by the caregivers, carers and family members looking after such persons. Caregiver burnout is a real issue in such situations. We wanted to create a supportive and nurturing space where caregivers / carers / family members could take an hour to not only share but also learn much needed self-regulation strategies to support their own wellbeing, and to prevent burnout in the long term.
