ABOUT
February 33rd
In a land swallowed by war, there is a place called Gomgazar a country that hums with absence. Its air is thick with smoke, its silence heavy with the sound of waiting. Inside a concentration camp, three sisters hold on to what is left of love or what they remember of it.
The eldest, carries the weight of their mother’s disappearance. Fear clings to her ribs fear of becoming the woman who left, fear of failing the children she’s trying to keep alive.
The middle sister, is a journalist who saw too much the truth of their mother’s death burns behind her eyes. Guilt knots her tongue; her silence becomes its own betrayal.
And the youngest ten years old and tender slips into a dream that keeps her breathing. She builds a world that doesn’t exist, a place where her mother still sings, where February ends, and the sun still knows her name.
Here, madness becomes memory. Here, time stands still February stretches to thirty-three days, and still, no dawn arrives. February 33rd is a haunting of the living, a story of daughters trapped between survival and surrender. It is the echo of a country under siege, and the sacred madness of those who dare to keep imagining freedom.
