Dawjee Trio

"The Dawjee Trio is an ensemble dedicated to a spiritual pursuit of knowledge through sound. The unit is led by saxophonist Muhammad Dawjee, co-founder of acclaimed South African Indo-Jazz trio Kinsmen. Dawjee Trio is an oscillating traversal of the south African (post-) apartheid experience that takes cues from the sonic well of the South African jazz archive. The music is anchored by Dawjee’s compositions, which he experiences as signposts: for dialogue".
