ABOUT
Blockchain/DLT (Digital Ledger Technology) is an emerging technology with tremendous potential for worldwide systems change. How can we leverage this technology to tackle the defining challenge of our time: climate change? This idea will be explored at #Hack4Climate, a 4-day Blockchain hackathon held in parallel to the COP climate conference this November in Bonn, Germany.
This workshop will help blockchain enthusiasts:
- explore the topic of climate change and develop impactful ideas,
- network with the local blockchain community, and
- learn more about how they can get free tickets and a fully funded trip to the 4-day hackathon in Germany!
THE PROGRAM
5:30pm – Doors Open
6:00pm – Panel discussion on climate change and the Paris Agreement, blockchain’s relevancy, and Hack4Climate challenge areas
6:30pm – Ideation workshop (group work) on each challenge area
8:30pm – Networking
