About How did your music career start? *I’ve always loved singing since I was still a young kid. I never took seriously until I left matric. I was asked to help out a friend instudio making a demo. He knew I had a natural talent but wanted to see me exploit it. Ever since my first day in studio I knew it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
Please discuss your style of music - what makes you unique?*I wouldn’t want to ever put myself in a box but I’d say my style of music could be labeled as Soulful-Pop. I think I am the gap between a plethora of genre’s. I have a very old school method of writing music, soulful music at that but I try to adapt it to newcontemporary sounds and music. I don’t want to limit myself. As music changes I try change with it but keeping my soul elementwith it. I have a unique voice that is quite emotional too.I also Freestyle sing, that’s how I come up with a lot of my songs too. It’s always important to write the lyrics and honest lyrics but I do get a lot of my ideas from playing around with melodies with producers.
Influences/inspirations to my music style*My favourite artist since I can remember was always John Legend. I started following him way before he was famous, I’d alwayssee pages on the internet and I just fell in love with his style of music and what he represented. His honesty, his musicality and his voice have always pushed me to better myself. Other major influences are ‘Majid Jordan’, ‘The Weeknd’ and other artists like‘6lack’, ‘Ed Sheeran’, ‘James Vincent McMorrow’, ‘Black Coffee’ and ‘John Carol Bukenya’

? “I Want To” First Solo single. YFM and Metro FM – Peaked at number 1 on the Emerging SA Chart
? “In Your Life” follow-up, on most Radio Stations and music video on all platforms. It peaked at Number 1 on the 5FM SATop 30 Chart
? “Wave G’Bye” the 3?rd? single launched on all platforms on the 15?th? of July and for radio it EXCLUSIVELY launched on the“Forbes And Fix” show on 5FM. 5FM launched a campaign to promote the single and Apple Gule as an artist.
? “Another Way” Featuring ‘Mapped Out Squad’ this was a song done for Coke Studio South Africa. The episode wherethe song was created aired on ETV 30?th? of October 2016.
? “In Your Life” (Strange Loving Remix) Released on Germany’s giant Katermukke Records on 27 January Worldwide.
? “Fan Girl” Apple’s first solo single of 2017.
? ‘Let My Love’ Strictly to video and on high rotation with MTV Base
