Christmas with a Lomond twist - A Lomond Long Table Event

Celebrate the festive season the Cape Agulhas way with sunshine, laughter, and a glass in hand by the water’s edge. Join us at the dam for a relaxed summer wine-tasting experience. Under wide skies and soft breezes, discover how Lomond turns a traditional Christmas into a celebration of cool-climate wines, good company, and the natural beauty of our home.

Lomond Long Table Events

Our Lomond Long Table Events are back for the 2025 festive season and run into our Blessing of the Harvest event in February 2026 during harvest time.

Join us at the Tasting Room at 11:30am and we will take you across our dam by boat, past our cellar and to our picnic site. 

Here you will enjoy a wine tasting hosted by Cellarmaster Anné van Heerden, with our Harvest Table lunch set out next to the dam in true Cape Agulhas style.

** Alternative venues on the farm will be used if the weather doesn’t permit use of our picnic site.

Cost:                  R500 per person includes the wine tasting and our substantial Harvest Table for lunch.

Time:                 Arrive at 11h30 at the Tasting Room, thereafter you’ll be transported to the picnic site (or alternative venue if the weather doesn’t play along). 

The event will end by 15h00, but transport will be available in the event that you have to leave earlier.

What to bring: Sun hat and sunscreen, windproof jacket, slip off shoes for easy access to the boat. The picnic site is shaded with seating, has ablution facilities and Wi-Fi.
