The Art of Light

The Art of Light is LUMENOCITY at the Norval Foundation.

A selection of works from LUMENOCITY, restaged in the gardens at Tokai.

Not the whole show, and nothing made new for it. A handful of the installations, chosen for this site and set out across the lawns and walkways at Norval, seen now against trees and open sky instead of city stone.

What to expect

Light works by South African artists, laid out as an outdoor route you walk at your own pace. Most people take an hour to ninety minutes.

Where

Norval Foundation, 4 Steenberg Road, Tokai, Cape Town. Licensed bar and food trucks on site. Family friendly, so bring the kids.

Good to know

Parking is available on site and close by, both payable.

No dogs, please.

When

Friday 20 to Sunday 29 November 2026, nightly 5pm - 10:30pm.

Closed Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 November.
