Italy in Town returns for two days of authentic Italian food, wine, music, culture and lifestyle—taking over the iconic Castle of Good Hope for the first time.

Step into the atmosphere of an Italian piazza, right here in Cape Town. Gather your friends, bring the family and spend the weekend discovering delicious food, enjoying live performances and celebrating the Italian way of life.

Organised by the Italian South African Chamber of Trade and Industries, with support from the Consulate of Italy in Cape Town and the City of Cape Town.

SATURDAY MORNING COFFEE RAVE

Start your festival Saturday with coffee, music and good energy at the Italy in Town Coffee Rave.

Your Coffee Rave ticket includes:

Meet your friends, wake up the Italian way and stay for a full day of food, music, shopping and entertainment.

No additional Saturday festival entry ticket is required when purchasing a Coffee Rave ticket.

A WEEKEND OF LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

From accordion and live cello to Italian swing jazz, opera and electronic music, the festival brings together a varied lineup across both days.

Look out for Loren, Ariella, Double Espresso, Cape Town Culture Band, Gli Stranieri, Miki, Thandolwethu, Tribal Need (Ricardo Moretti) and DJ Dino Moran.

Saturday brings a full day of entertainment and an evening party, closing at 22:00.

Sunday brings another day of live performances, great food and a relaxed festival atmosphere, closing at 17:00.

RUGBY ON THE BIG SCREEN

Your weekend plans don’t have to compete with the rugby.

Watch South Africa vs Ireland on Saturday, 21 November at 18:30, then stay for DJ Dino Moran at 20:45.

We’ll also be screening Italy vs Fiji during the festival weekend. Screening details will be confirmed.

PIZZA- AND PASTA-MAKING EXPERIENCES

Roll up your sleeves and discover the pleasure of making Italian favourites from scratch.

In collaboration with Italian Deli Online, our hands-on pizza- and pasta-making classes take place at the Castle of Good Hope on 21 and 22 November.

Enjoy a welcome drink, learn from experienced instructors and share an experience with your partner, friends or fellow food lovers.

Classes are booked separately from general festival admission. Places per session are limited—select your preferred class, date and time when booking.
