ABOUT

Join us for the premiere screening of a new documentary exploring the life and creative journey of acclaimed visual artist Ingrid Nuss. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of South Africa’s Garden Route, the film reveals how Ingrid’s art is deeply rooted in her connection to nature, spirituality, and the unseen threads that bind us to our environment.

The evening promises to be more than a film premiere. The night will a multi-sensory celebration of creativity. Guests will be immersed in an art exhibition of Ingrid’s work, experience spoken word poetry, and witness live performances by other artists. This is an invitation to step into Ingrid’s world and feel the emotions that words alone cannot capture.

MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ingrid Nuss is a South African visual artist based in Wilderness, often called the “Heart of the Garden Route.” From a young age, her creativity was sparked by family journeys across wild landscapes, where her love for nature took root. She honed her craft at the Michaelis School of Fine Art (UCT), graduating with distinction, before traveling widely through North America, Asia, and beyond — experiences that shaped her worldview and artistic voice.

Her work is inspired by the forests, coastlines, and mountains of her homeland, as well as her fascination with science, philosophy, and spirituality. Ingrid’s distinctive visual language expresses emotions that transcend words, inviting viewers to connect deeply with her art. As she describes it: “The most important part of my work is to enable a feeling, which cannot be communicated easily in words, as it connects from within.”
