We’re excited to welcome Thando Zide back to the Untitled Basement for another unforgettable performance. Her voice and intimate storytelling have made her one of the most sought-after singers and collaborators in South Africa.

This time, she brings Isineke (Patience) — her 3-city tour — to the Basement, as a reminder of the importance of taking one’s time, following your dreams, and nurturing what is good.

Thando’s formal introduction to music came at the National School of the Arts in Braamfontein, where her passion for performance was first nurtured. These formative years honed her craft, leading her from community concerts to the Joburg Theatre, and laying the foundation for the artist she is today.

Her authenticity and talent have led to collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Manana, Nomfundo Moh, and Mnqobi Yazo, further cementing her presence in the industry. One of her most celebrated singles, Ziveze, is a testament to her evolving artistry — rich, emotive, and deeply rooted in the sounds of home.

Her latest release, Break (June 2025), marks a bold step forward: vulnerable, stripped back, and unmistakably honest. Together, her music traces the arc of an artist coming into her own — anchored in heritage, yet always evolving.
