ABOUT
South Africa’s first-ever pastry festival, celebrating the art of baking and creativity by bringing the community together. This exclusive event brings together families, food lovers, aspiring bakers, and culinary enthusiasts for a day of delicious fun.
Expect bake-offs, signature dessert challenges, pop-up pastry markets, workshops, and family-friendly activities; all designed to delight and inspire.
With only 400 – 500 tickets available, this is an intimate, limited-access experience you won’t want to miss!
Pastry Festival Rules & Regulations
1. General Admission
- Entry is valid only with a valid festival ticket or accreditation.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Wristbands/badges must be worn at all times inside the festival area.
2. Food Safety & Hygiene
- All vendors must comply with local food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Samples and products must be prepared and served in a sanitary manner.
- No outside food or drinks are allowed, except for medical or infant needs.
3. Vendor & Stall Guidelines
- Vendors must operate within their allocated space and not obstruct walkways.
- Cooking equipment must meet safety requirements (e.g., gas cylinders, open flames, electrical usage).
- Vendors are responsible for keeping their areas clean and disposing of waste in designated bins.
4. Prohibited Items
- No weapons, illegal substances, or hazardous materials.
- No alcohol or smoking within the main festival grounds (unless in designated areas).
- No amplified sound (music, announcements) without prior approval.
5. Attendee Conduct
- Respect for staff, vendors, and other attendees is required.
- Disorderly, disruptive, or offensive behaviour will result in removal without refund.
- Photography and videography for personal use are allowed; professional shoots need prior permission.
6. Safety & Security
- Follow instructions from festival staff and security at all times.
- Emergency exits and pathways must remain clear.
- In case of medical or safety emergencies, report immediately to the festival team.
7. Environmental Responsibility
- Help us keep the festival clean by using recycling and waste bins provided.
- No littering in or around the venue.
- Vendors are encouraged to use eco-friendly packaging.
8. Liability
- The organizers are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
- Participation in activities, tastings, and competitions is at your own risk.
9. Competitions & Tastings
- Contest rules will be provided separately; judges’ decisions are final.
- No outside participation in tastings unless officially registered.
10. Rights of Organizers
- The festival reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person who violates these rules.
- The program is subject to change without prior notice.
