ABOUT
An Unforgettable Night Under the Stars
Treat your loved ones to an evening where the ordinary fades away and the universe takes center stage. At the tranquil Syringa Park (Avianto Estate), you’ll arrive to a peaceful setting perfect for stargazing—just bring your curiosity, and the night sky will do the rest.
Make it a full experience: enjoy dinner or drinks at a nearby eatery before the show or order a takeaway and savour a picnic under the stars. Then, as darkness falls, prepare for an adventure across the cosmos.
You’ll look through powerful telescopes and:
- See the Moon’s craters and valleys in breathtaking detail (and snap a photo of it with your phone!)
- Witness Saturn in the early evening sky for the first time this season—rings and all!
- Explore constellations and spot double stars
- Discover glittering star clusters and hidden asterisms
- Enjoy a laser-guided tour of the night sky
Your host, Vicus Cruywagen - passionate telescope maker and avid skywatcher - will guide you with fascinating insights, turning the night into a shared journey of discovery.
This isn’t just stargazing—it’s a magical night to slow down, look up, and create memories with those you love.

Event Attendance & Guidelines
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before starting time.
* Light Etiquette: Avoid white lights to preserve night vision; use red lights instead. An easy option is wrapping a torch in several layers of red cellophane, secured by an elastic band.
* Weather and Clothing: We'll be outdoors the entire time, so dress warm.
* Insect Protection: During summer, mosquito repellent is recommended.
* Food and Seating: You may bring your own snacks and drinks, or order from the restaurants. Bring a camping chair along - picnic blankets are also welcome.
* Ticket Policy: Tickets are non-refundable. If the event has to be postponed due to bad weather, your ticket(s) can be moved to any other general public stargazing event of your choice within the next year.
