Step into history and celebration as we mark the 99th anniversary of the iconic Blouberg Church building with 99 Red Balloons—a vibrant festival of music, art, and community spirit. This milestone marks nearly a century of faith, community, and creativity - and we’re pulling out all the stops.

Built in 1926, this church stood as the tallest structure in Bloubergstrand at the time - a beacon of faith and resilience overlooking the Cape coast. For nearly a century, it has weathered the fierce winds of the Cape of Storms, witnessed 98 Easters, 99 Christmases, and 25 Leap Years. Its walls hold stories of generations past and hopes for those yet to come.

Under the creative direction of Elmarie Dercksen, the program brings together:
