ABOUT

Book now for the follow-up in our Jewish Democratic Initiative series THINKING FORWARDS, exploring opportunities and scenarios that might help break out of Israel-Palestine’s vicious cycle of violence. This month, we have invited two Palestinian speakers, both well-known and outspoken public figures.

She serves as the Co-Executive Director of Itach-Ma’aki: Women Lawyers for Social Justice, an organization focused on advancing women’s rights and social justice. She is known for her feminist and human rights work within the Bedouin community and broader Israeli society, with over two decades of advocacy experience. Additionally, she has been recognized with human rights awards for her impactful work and is active in peace building and social justice initiatives from her base in Be’er Sheva.

ASHRAF AL-AJRAMI is a Palestinian politician born in 1961 in the Jabalia Camp in the Gaza Strip. In the 1980s, he joined the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine. After stepping down from that role, he joined the Fatah party in 2005 and has been a member of the Fatah Central Committee since 2009. He has continued to be active in Palestinian political affairs and has been involved in discussions about the challenges faced by Palestinian society, security coordination, and the peace process.
