BarFest returns on Friday, 3 October 2025, bringing together four distinctive voices in South African hip-hop. Leading the night is Zubz the Last Leta, the Zimbabwe-raised, Johannesburg-based veteran whose albums like Listener’s Digest and Cochlea: One Last Letta established him as one of the most thoughtful storytellers in the region. Alongside him is Wordz, the Pretoria rapper whose breakout projects Product of a Praying Mother and People Forget to Be People cemented his reputation for blending sharp lyricism with raw honesty.

Adding fresh energy is Nyeleti the Star, a rising performer and creative whose versatility across music and the arts has made her a name to watch, while KiD X, known for albums such as Thank Da King and Father of Zen, brings his inventive blend of hip-hop and African rhythms. Together, they make up a lineup that balances legacy, lyrical craftsmanship, and forward-looking creativity. BarFest on 3 October promises a night of music, culture, and artistry not to be missed.
