PREVIEW FOR OPEN STUDIOS FISH HOEK & CLOVELLY ON 9 OCTOBER 2026

Cape Town’s Deep South opens its doors this October as Open Studios Fish Hoek & Clovelly (OSFHC) returns for its 2026 edition from Friday, 9 October to Sunday, 11 October.

The self-guided art trail invites the public into the studios of 48 artists at 20 locations across Fish Hoek and Clovelly, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at how local art is made - from painting and printmaking to ceramics, sculpture and mixed media.

Studios will be open free of charge on Saturday and Sunday 10-11 October 2026 from 10h00 to 16h00. A ticketed preview event will take place on Friday 9 October 2026, giving collectors and art lovers the opportunity to explore the studios ahead of the free public days. Tickets for the preview are R150 per person. Proceeds from the preview will support Project Flamingo, who provide timeous, compassionate and holistic care of breast cancer patients within the public health care system.

The opening function for the preview will take place at iconic department store AP Jones on Fish Hoek Main Road at 09h30 on the Friday and guests will be treated to a bespoke installation and live performance. Not only will preview ticket holders get early access to the artworks on sale, but they will each receive a complimentary coffee voucher from Peak Cafe in Fish Hoek, a glass of wine from Lubanzi Wines, and a wearable badge from Project Flamingo.

Once the preview day is over, the event heads into the weekend with two free days jam-packed with things to see, completely free for all members of the public, as well as the opportunity to acquire original artworks directly from the artists themselves.

This year’s line-up brings together returning favourites and a strong contingent of new artists. A map and route guide will help visitors plan their weekend along the trail.
