Die Pauline Bohnen Natuurreservaat, geleë langs Stilbaai-oos en aangrensend aan Lappiesbaai, is vernoem na die plantkundige wie se ywer tot die proklamering van die bewaringsgebied gelei het. Hierdeur word die eiesoortige Fynbosplant-gemeenkappe beveilig, wat bestaan uit ‘n groot aantal plantsoorte waarvan verskeie endemies is. Albertinia-sandfynbos kom voor op grondsoorte wat wissel van alkalies tot neutraal, terwyl Kalksteenfynbos op die hoërliggende gedeeltes aangetref word. Plek-plek is daar nie-standhoudende waterlope met eiesoortige plantegroei. Die staproetes is toeganklik vir almal.

Christina sal deelnemers net buite die ingang na die Reservaat ontmoet, op die grasperk oorkant die On-The-Rocks Restaurant.

The Pauline Bohnen Nature Reserve, located next to Stilbaai East and bordering on Lappiesbaai, is named after the botanist whose dedication and passion for conservation led to the proclamation of this conservation area. This resulted in the protection of the unique Fynbos vegetation types, renowned for the large number of species, including a number of endemics. Albertinia Sand Fynbos is supported by soil types varying from alkaline to neutral, while Limestone Fynbos occurs at higher elevations. Non-perennial water courses sustain unique vegetation. It is a comfortable walk and accessible to everyone.Christina will meet participants just outside the entrance to the Reserve, on the lawn opposite On-The-Rocks Restaurant.
