Friday Night Live with Sauti Za Afrika

Friday Night Live is a series of beautiful, intimate performances from some of the most exciting talent Cape Town and South Africa has to offer, hosted at the KAYA Café. Friday Night Live is an event for performers to take in their own direction, creating an environment for audiences to engage deeply with the music, the meaning, and the people behind it all.

Sauti Za Afrika is an Afrocentric Jazz Fusion band exploring the diverse tastes of musical ideas from Kenya and South Africa. They aim to celebrate Africa, African music and cultures and identities shared through music and storytelling. Targeting young Africans from all backgrounds and from all over Africa, their hope is to create a diverse space where our audiences can connect and relate through the power of music and storytelling, and share a common pride in their Africaness.
