Picnic Under the Stars & Movie at Villa Arcadia

Join the JHF for our spring Picnic Under the Stars on the lawns of Villa Arcadia, including the screening of a classic movie on a large screen.

For copyright reasons, we aren’t able to name the featured movie in our publicity but here are some clues: it’s a 1950 dark comedy film noir critiquing Hollywood’s darker side. It stars William Holden and Gloria Swanson (as a faded silent film actress who’s ready for her close-up!). Expertly directed by Billy Wilder and shot in glorious black and white, we can think of no better movie to watch with beautiful Villa Arcadia in the background.
