ABOUT
Hassan'adas is a Cape Town-based band led by multi-instrumentalist John Hassan. John Hassan, also a sought-after percussionist, composer, arranger, and producer, leads the band in performing and blending various African sounds with global influences.
The band's music is known for its infectious energy, Afro-Latin grooves, and percussive textures, appealing to a wide range of listeners.
Musical Style:
Hassan'adas's music is a fusion of African sounds, Cape Town Samba, and influences from Cape jazz and other global musical styles.
John Hassan's Role:
He leads the band, plays percussion, guitar, and sings, and is also a composer and producer.
Band Members:
John Hassan (percussion, vocals, acoustic guitar), Lucas Khumalo (bass), Nathan Carolus (guitar), and Trevino Isaacs (keys).
Global Collaborations:
Hassan'adas has collaborated with numerous local and international artists, including Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, and Manu Dibango.
