Men's Bare Yoga - 31 Aug 2025
Sun Aug 31, 14:00 - Sun Aug 31, 15:30
The Venue at 224 Carinus B&B
ABOUT
Step onto your mat. Step out of your clothes. Step into freedom.
This unique yoga experience is about more than poses — it’s about presence. Practicing without clothing invites you to let go of restrictions, both physical and mental. While it might feel a little strange at first, many find it profoundly liberating. Our skilled instructor will guide you every step of the way, creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and at ease in your own skin.
WHY BARE?
Because somewhere along the way, society taught us to link nakedness with shame or secrecy. This class flips that script — replacing fear with pride, judgment with respect, and hiding with openness. We are all born naked. We are all enough exactly as we are.
BENEFITS YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Greater self-acceptance and body confidence
- Freedom of movement without restrictive clothing
- A mindful, grounding connection to your body and breath
- A deeper sense of unity with others, beyond appearances
SMALL EVENT:
This is a body-positive, non-sexual space for all men, all shapes, all sizes, all stories. Numbers are kept intentionally small — only 10-12 participants — to ensure comfort and connection.
“CHEEKY” GIMMICK
Nude yoga isn’t just a “cheeky” gimmick — it’s a practice with some surprisingly deep benefits, both physical and psychological.
Here’s why some men (and mixed groups too) love it:
1. Radical Body Acceptance
Without clothes, you can’t hide behind baggy shirts or designer gear. You see your body exactly as it is — and so does everyone else — which can help dismantle self-criticism and comparison.
2. Freedom of Movement
No waistband digging into your belly in forward fold. No shorts riding up in downward dog. You feel every stretch without fabric restriction.
3. Reconnecting with Nature & Yourself
Especially in warm, safe spaces, the sensation of skin against air, mat, or sunlight feels grounding and primal — like coming home to yourself.
4. Breaking Taboos & Shame
Many men carry body shame or have been taught to associate nudity only with sex. Nude yoga reframes nudity as something normal, non-sexual, and connected to well-being.
5. Heightened Mindfulness
When you practice nude, you’re very present in your body — sensations, breath, posture — everything feels a little more vivid.
6. Community & Equality
Without clothes, everyone’s status symbols disappear. No branded sportswear, no style hierarchy — just humans breathing and moving together.
