Secret Cellar is Cape Town’s new premium underground comedy night – literally. Hidden behind a bookshelf in the cellar of the historic Cape Town Club, this showcase brings together the country’s top comedic talent in an intimate, late-night setting.

MOJAK LEHOKO (Headliner) - Mojak is a Johannesburg-based actor, writer, comedian, voice-over artist, and MC who has performed across South Africa and internationally, earning a Comic’s Choice nomination. He gained recognition as a writer for “Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola,” which earned him an Emmy nomination.

NKOSINATHI MAKI (HOST) - Nkosinathi was the winner of the 2022 Jive Funny Championship and was the longtime showrunner of Armchair comedy nights. He’s made a huge mark on South African comedy with his energy and enthusiasm for the scene. We’re excited to have him back on our stage!

LERATO SOKULU - Lerato is a comedian and radio host on Smile FM. She’s the co-host of the Creative Allies podcast, with a decade of experience in radio, comedy, and voice artistry. We’re excited to have her on the line-up.

JARYD PILLAY - Jaryd is the winner of the 2024 Jive Funny Championship and his show Pillay Boy recently picked up a Standard Bank Standing Ovation award at the most recent National Arts Festival. Jaryd is the real deal.
