ByLwansta is back in Durban, and he’s not coming quietly. For the first time since 2019, the genre-defying jazz-rapper takes the stage at The Chairman with a full 6-piece live band, delivering an immersive set that blurs the line between introspective hip-hop and rich, experimental jazz.
Expect trumpet swells, live keys, basslines that hit deep, harmonies that haunt, and drums that carry stories, all wrapped around a voice that’s both razor-sharp and soul-deep. This isn’t just a concert. It’s a cinematic experience, where vulnerability and virtuosity collide.
Opening the night is Amongst The People I Know, the wildly expressive live project of drummer/producer Tebogo J Mosane. His sets are never the same twice — part soul, part chaos, all groove.
