Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Metaphors

Presented by Epworth High School for Girls, Mike van Graan's Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Metaphors is a sharp, satirical reimagining of the classic fairy tale, using theatrical flair to explore the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Tackling issues like gender-based violence, poverty, climate change, and corruption, the play challenges audiences to reflect on personal and collective responsibility. Commissioned by the University of Pretoria, it blends humour and hard truths to provoke thought and inspire action. Parental guidance is advised for children under 13.

This performance will take place in our open-air Performing Arts Amphitheatre. Please bring a blanket and soft cushion along. Refreshments will be on sale at the Bean@Epworth coffee shop. (Cashless facilities only)
