Walk4Change

“Walk 4 Change” is a dynamic, community-driven initiative blending a fun walk/run event with a powerful call to action: to raise funds and awareness for gender-based violence (GBV) prevention in South Africa. This campaign invites people from all walks of life to take a literal and symbolic step toward ending Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF). Every step taken together brings us closer to a safer, more equal society.

South Africa continues to grapple with one of the highest GBV rates in the world, disproportionately impacting women, children, and marginalised groups. Often called the "second pandemic," GBV's reach is devastating and systemic. While policies and laws exist, entrenched social norms and under-resourced implementation undermine progress. Now, more than ever, there’s a need for sustained, grassroots intervention.
