Water and Whirl

An evening of rhythm, regeneration, and real connection.

Join us on Saturday, 2 August 2025 at the Kalk Bay Community Centre for a night where movement meets meaning.

We begin with the heart-stirring documentary Water is Love, a beautiful visual journey of regeneration and the power of water to bring us home to ourselves and each other. 10% of film proceeds will go directly to the creatives who made this film possible.

Then the real fun begins: a 2-hour dance session with swing and a dash of sokkie, and a whole lot of joy. Whether you're a swing pro or just love to move, all bodies are welcome.

There will be a complimentary 20 min introduction for all the newbies - you can learn 1 new move!!

?? Why we’re fundraising

We’re three South Africans heading to Tanzania in September, invited to present on How Culture Meets Spirituality. This event supports our travel and the creation of spaces where meaningful conversations, cultural exchange, and uplifting connection can take root and ripple out.

Kalk Bay, with its shimmering sea, is the perfect backdrop for a night of water wisdom and movement medicine. As we honour water in our bodies and our world, we invite you to dance, connect, and be part of the flow.

6:15 PM – Doors open (arrive early for a cosy cuppa)

6:45 PM – Water is Love film screening (1H)

8:00 PM – 10:00 PM – Swing + sokkie dance session
