Learn to crochet with the Cape Town Craft Club!

Welcome to the Winter Crochet Workshops, hosted by Cape Town Craft Club and taught by Tash Montlake!

Over the course of two months, we’ll be learning how to crochet – from the very beginning. You’ll be guided through the basics and get started on a fun project right away.

Tash will walk you through how to make your own amigurumi – those adorable crocheted animals – while teaching you the techniques and skills you need to master this fun, versatile and relaxing craft. Once you’ve made your little creature, the world of crochet will be your oyster, with endless projects to try next.

Your ticket includes entry to two workshop sessions, and you can choose from a series of dates:

9 August 1pm - 4pm

20 August 6pm - 9pm

What’s included:

A three-hour beginner/intermediate-level workshop. Everyone is welcome, whether you’ve never picked up a crochet hook or want to brush up on your skills.

You'll also receive exclusive access to a private Instagram page where everything you learn will live in Reels form – perfect if you need a reminder later. You can also DM Tash for help between sessions if you get stuck at home.

Learn how to start and finish a project, read a pattern, master the basic stitches, and build your confidence – all in a small group with one-on-one support from Tash when you need it.
