Secret Cellar is Cape Town’s new premium underground comedy night – literally. Hidden behind a bookshelf in the cellar of the historic Cape Town Club, this showcase brings together the country’s top comedic talent in an intimate, late-night setting.

Proudly presented by award-winning show-runners That's Not Funny in collaboration with Cape Town Club. And Cape Craft Lab who’ll be serving drinks all night long.

Rob van Vuuren

Rob van Vuuren is a multi award-winning comedian and actor who has been on the comedy and theatre scene since the late 90s. He’s a house-hold name starring in films and TV shows. We’re so excited to have him headlining the show.

Yaaseen Barnes

Yaaseen is an actor, writer and celebrated South African comedian known for his sharp wit and clever one-liners. He's the co-host of the podcast Coffee x Controllers and director of Jive Funny Festival. We're in safe hands with Yaaseen as the evening's host.

Khanyisile Ngwenya. Khanyisile is a Soweto-born comedian andthe most recent winner of the Savanna Comics Choice Newcomer Award. She turns her life experience as a differently abled person into a knee-slapping comedy. .

Chuma Bentele. In a short amount of time, Chuma has established himself as one of South Africa’s most exciting young comedians. He has played all over the country including the National Arts Festival, Woordfees and recently, the 2024 Savanna Newcomers Showcase.
