Helderberg Village Music Society Concert

The Helderberg Village Music Society is delighted to present HerStory, a cello and piano recital on Sunday, 24 August 2025 at 15:30 for 16:00PM.

Renowned performers Babette Roosenschoon (cello) and Esthea Kruger (piano) will bring to life a beautiful selection of Romantic music, featuring works by Ethel Smyth, Johannes Brahms, and Clara Schumann. The hour-long programme highlights both the familiar and the overlooked voices of the 19th century, offering rich melodies and expressive interplay between cello and piano.

Babette Roosenschoon is a seasoned chamber musician and cello lecturer at Stellenbosch University, while Esthea Kruger is an award-winning pianist and lecturer at the South African College of Music. Together, their long-standing musical partnership ensures a deeply connected and polished performance.
