LINOCUT PRINTING WORKSHOP

In this 6-HOUR workshop you will be introduced to a very exciting printing technique.

You will learn how to draw up a creative design which includes the use of positive and negative shapes for dramatic effect, then transfer the design to the lino before starting the carving process. You will also be introduced to diffferent mark-making techniques, lettering, and other lino printing skills.

Multiple prints will be made as you tweak your design. Once you have your desired, final look, you will aim to create a limited edition of at least 3 prints, using hand rollers only. This will give you the skills to print your own linocuts at home, without using a lino-printing press.

Kim is a multi-disciplinary artist with years of experience teaching lino printing, and other creative skills at university level, as well as in her studio - IN THE ZONE.

• Please note: Lunch is not included. There are numerous food outlets in walking distance of the studio.
