Mandela Day: Dancing for Full Tummies with Secret Sunrise

Join Oryx Desert Salt & Secret Sunrise for a special Mandela Day event on the morning of 18 July at Tiger's Milk, Muizenberg.

All proceeds go to Ukama Foundation, a preschool feeding scheme that fills the bellies of 700+ children daily in Masiphumulele and Capricorn.

Mandela Day is a call to action for individuals, communities, and organisations to take time to reflect on Mandela's legacy and take small steps that lead to big change. #MandelaDay2025 #ItIsInYourHands

We’re partnering once again with Secret Sunrise, a global movement (and silent disco type experience) that brings people together through music, movement, and connection. With wireless headphones to tune in and drop deeper, we’ll dance, breathe, and make a real difference!

We will also spend the morning making sandwiches to feed 800+ children!

EVENT DETAILS:

WHEN: Friday 18 July (Mandela Day)

WHERE: Tiger's Milk, Muizenberg

TIME: 9:30am - 11:30am (arrive at 9am to start at 9:30)

BRING: Wear layers of warm, comfy clothes and bring water, swimming costume and towel (if you'd like to join us for a swim afterwards).

Event schedule:

9:00-9:30am arrive

9:30 - 10:30/11am Secret Sunrise guided sandwich making and dance

10:30/11am - 12noon raffle, mingle & swim (optional, if weather permits)

Entrance:

R150 per ticket that includes:

1. Entrance to the Secret Sunrise "silent disco" type experience.
2. The opportunity to make a real difference and feed 800+ children.
3. Entry into the raffle (1 ticket = 1 entry)

*Additional Donations which go towards Ukama Foundation are welcomed and deeply appreciated.

*Proceeds and Donations: All proceeds from this ticketed event go to the Ukama Foundation, supporting daily meals for over 700 preschool children in Masiphumulele and Capricorn.
