Layla is turning fifty. Her three kids are planning her a surprise party. Everything goes awry when the youngest reveals that she invited several extra guests, one of whom happens to be her estranged Ouma Linda. Will everything work out? Oh, Mother! is both comedic and heartfelt in its exploration of Coloured-Muslim families, and the challenges of becoming part of the community as an ‘outsider.’
