Explore the wonders of the night sky with Vic & his Super-Telescopes", hosted at the tranquil Syringa Park at Avianto Estate. Enhance your night by enjoying a delicious meal or drink at one of the nearby eateries before the event. Prefer a more laid-back experience? Grab a takeaway and savour a picnic beneath the cosmos!

Through powerful telescopes you'll observe the majesty of the moon and even get a chance to take a pic of it with your phone through a telescope! You'll also be able to observe Mars, constellations, double-stars, asterisms and star clusters (including the Heart Cluster for the romantics!).

Your guide, Vicus Cruywagen - a passionate telescope maker and observer of the night sky - will kick off the night with a fascinating talk about the universe and the wonders you’ll be observing. Then, you’ll have the rare opportunity to view these celestial marvels through high-powered telescopes.

Duration: Approx. 90 minutes, depending on the number of guests.

Event Attendance & Guidelines

* Arrival Time: Please arrive 10 minutes (or earlier) before the event start time.

* Light Etiquette: To preserve night vision and enhance stargazing, avoid using white lights/torches. Red lights/torches are preferred. A simple and cost-effective alternative is wrapping a torch with several layers of red cellophane secured with an elastic band.

* Weather & Clothing: Even summer nights can be chilly, and winter nights can be particularly cold. Please dress accordingly, as the event takes place outdoors.

* Insect Protection: During summer, mosquito repellent is recommended.

* Food & Seating: Food and drinks are available for purchase from the on-site eateries (both sit-down and takeaway options). Bring a camping chair for each person in your party - picnic blankets are also welcome.

* Ticket Policy: Tickets are non-refundable. However, if the event is postponed due to bad weather, your ticket will be transferred to a future date of your choice during the upcoming year.
