Drawing from thousands of kilometres of travel and direct, first-hand conversations with traditional healers and diviners, Cullen reveals the rich — and largely undocumented — culinary, medicinal, and entheogenic uses of mushrooms among South Africa’s diverse tribal communities. This talk will uncover hidden histories, ancient rock art, mythologies, spiritual practices, and sacred rituals surrounding fungi that have remained largely unknown — until now.
