The talent that never left, Red Button is ready to give music lovers a bite of what kept him away

from the entertainment buzz to work on his craft.

South African Born, in Soweto; Red Button, real name Neo Modise is a talented Musician and

producer. Popularly known by his skill of rhyming in vernacular rap, and with hard hitting punch

lines. Red Button started rapping in 2005, however took it upon himself to make a career out of his

passion for the rhymes and flow in 2007. Within Slaghuis and 1808 days of rap sessions in 2008, his

first taste of the industry began when his talent was exposed to the likes of Teargas and Pro. In 2009

he signed with his mentor and role model Pro Kid under Money First Entertainment, adhering to the

call from the streets to finally release a studio album.

Under Pro’s wing Red Button released his debut album titled “Finally”, which was well received and

had South Africa a buzz. The album featured likes of PRO, K.O, J.R and Bricks, Jack Parrow, Stan1 and

German DJ Leo Large. He Produced 80% of the tracks in the album including the smash hit

“Shikisha”. Not only is Red Button a talented rapper he has a gift of producing hits. He produced

the smash hit “Makasana”, for his mentor Pro and was subsequently nominated for Producer of the

year in 2012 at the South African Hip Hop Awards. He also produced other hit single for other

industry heavy weights like, Dj Dimplez, Dj Sabby, Dj Capital, Ntukza (Teargas) and Zakwe. Red

Button has been featured on hot, chart-topping tracks by big artist.
