Mila Smith is a 20-year-old SAMA-nominated singer/songwriter and actress from Cape Town, South Africa. With diary-style lyrics that peel back the curtain on her personal experiences, Mila has a soulful heart-on-sleeve sound and soaring emotional vocals that express a maturity and storytelling ability beyond her young years.
Mila launched her solo career in 2021 with her debut single, Liars and Fakes, a chart-topping disco-pop hit, followed by the release of Reassemble Myself and the pop-punk track Nice Guy. In 2023 she released her debut EP You Need Therapy which earned her a 2024 SAMA nomination for Best Pop Album. That same year marked her acting debut in a lead film role set to release to release later this year.
Smith hit the ground running with her first single of 2025, Stranger, released in late January. With its soothing bass line, dreamy synths and hypnotically rich vocals - Stranger is a poignant love letter to someone who is physically miles away.
Now she’s back with ‘The Adults Are Talking’ a new pop punk track in all its angsty, hard-hitting glory.
