Let's Band Together 2025 with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra & the KZN Youth Orchestra

The KZN Youth Orchestra and the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra will be playing together with a number of upcoming young musicians at Durban Girls’ College on SUNDAY 15 JUNE.

The hour-long concert is the culmination of a day-long workshop where interested young classical musicians between the ages of 10 and 22 get to work with professional musicians, learning what it is like to be part of an orchestra.

The concert will be excellent family entertainment, with music encompassing a variety of genres. Highlights of the program include Korsakov's Scheherazade, Monti's Czardas, a Johnny Clegg classic, the theme from Mission Impossible, Baba Yetu, Gustav Holst’s Mars, timeless pieces like Mamma Mia and Star Wars and the jaunty Wellerman!

This project is an exciting initiative of the KZN Youth Orchestra and SASMT and is sponsored by the KZN Performing Arts Trust.

Tickets are R50 adults and R20 pensioners and scholars.

Conducted by Lyk Temmingh and presented by Cathy Peacock, this concert is a must-see for all aspiring young musicians!
