Lunacy X Lowerland Winebar Takeover

Join us for an evening of full-on farm to table delicacies, as Lowerland showcase both their fantastic produce and wines in the recently opened Lunacy Wine Bar & Restaurant in Harington Street. With a fantastic selection of 6 canapés; prepared by the talented Lunacy Team, and 7 wines to match each of them, come enjoy an evening of pure enjoyment and culinary delicacies. The highlight of the evening is the release of their sought after Tannat, which is sold-out year on year through allocation but for the first time ever we'll be doing a public release to showcase all their single vineyard wines and the rest of their amazing range.

The farm is owned by Legendary Afrikaans rock star Bertie Coetzee of Zinkplaat and his talented wife Alette, who will both be joining us for the evening, this farm finds its’ roots in the Northern Cape, Some of the highest vineyards in South Africa. They produce small batches of natural wines in a remote semi-arid, high altitude region. Lowerland is a mixed, holistic family farm that produces a range of soil to soul products with an integrated flow. Working with acclaimed winemaker Lukas van Loggerenberg, they employ natural old world techniques such as whole bunch, natural fermentation, basket pressing, manual pump-overs and gentle maturation in older French oak.
