Swim for Safety: Swimathon

Dive in for a great cause! Join us for our very first swimathon to raise funds for our community water safety swimming programme. Every lap you swim supports The Neptunes from Ocean View and Masiphumelele to stay safe in and around water. Whether you are a seasoned swimmer or just splashing around for fun, your participation makes a difference.

Lets make a splash for water safety - one stroke at a time!

(The Swimathon will take place in an indoor heated pool at Generation Schools Imhoff, Kommetjie)

Date: Saturday, June 21st, 2025

Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: Generation Schools Imhoff Campus

Goal: Raise R10,000 for Project Neptune’s swim education programs

How to Take Part

Whether you're a non-swimmer or an experienced swimmer, everyone can join in!

1. Non-Swimmers – R10 to attempt a swim with a buddy and floatation device
2. Beginner Swimmers – R10 per 25m length
3. Intermediate Swimmers – R10 per 100m (4 lengths of the 25m pool)
4. Advanced Swimmers – R100 per kilometre (40 lengths)

Donations of any amount are also warmly welcomed

All swimmers will be supported by our aquatic’s coaches and student swim buddies. Friends, family, and staff will be there to cheer you on!

Bonus Community Drive: Swimwear Donations

Help us make swimming accessible for all by donating:

1. New or gently used swimming costumes.
2. Swimming caps These will go directly to children in Project Neptune’s programs.
