Join hosts Andria Cindi and Khensani Mohlatlole for Breaking Bead—an immersive, hands-on workshop celebrating slow fashion, cultural storytelling, and community.
Step into the joyful, meditative world of beading, where craft becomes a tool for self-expression, empowerment, and connection. Together, we’ll explore the rich legacy of Southern African beadwork—its role as a language of identity, memory, and creativity across generations.
In this session, you’ll:
Learn traditional beading techniques
Explore the cultural history of beadwork
Receive step-by-step demonstrations and hands-on guidance
Create your own beaded phone case to take home
The workshop is open to all skill levels, and creative freedom is encouraged—whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced crafter.
This isn’t just a workshop—it’s a gathering space for like-minded people to slow down, learn something new, and build community through craft.
Your ticket includes:
- All materials, tools, and equipment
- A guided beading session suitable for all skill levels
